CSSE – FSCE-Â Creative Writing
Our aim is to prepare students for the CSSE & FSCE exams . We take measures to ensure 11 plus skills are refined to the best possible extent, well ahead of the exam.
TEACHING STRUCTURE
DAY 1
Maths | Nth Term: Calculation of Nth Term. Solve real life problems. • Understanding Sequences: Recognise number patterns and identify whether they are linear (e.g. +3 each time) or non-linear. • Finding the Nth Term Rule: Learn how to express a sequence using algebra (e.g. 3n + 2). • Using the Rule: Calculate any term in the sequence using the Nth term formula. • Real-Life Applications: Solve problems involving patterns—e.g. cost of tickets, number of tiles, or steps in a design. |
English Comprehension | Teaching to explore characters and feelings   : Character clues Feelings through actions Dialogue and tone Change of personality over time Learning to interpret phrases Spot the figurative language Use clues to work out meaning Visualise the Phrase Purpose of Phrase |

DAY 2
Maths | Ratio and Proportion  • Understanding Ratios: Compare quantities using part-to-part and part-to-whole relationships. • Simplifying Ratios: Reduce ratios to their simplest form. • Using Ratios in Context: Solve problems involving recipes, maps, and sharing amounts. • Proportion Problems: Work with scaling, enlargement, and “if this, then that” scenarios (e.g. doubling ingredients or scaling prices). |

DAY 3
Maths | Money Conversion • Currency Conversion: Convert between pounds and pence, and between currencies using given exchange rates. • Percentage Discounts and Increases: Calculate sale prices, mark-ups, and VAT. • Budgeting and Cost Comparison: Solve multi-step problems involving shopping, travel, and saving. • Real-Life Scenarios: Apply maths to everyday contexts like pocket money, spending plans, and value for money. |

TEST : CSSE & FSCE:
The test will comprise of multiple choice and a standard type test

Venue :Â Anglia Ruskin University
Date   :  27 Oct to 30 Oct (Mon – Thu)
RESULTS
- Day 4 – is the test day.
- Each child will be assigned a password and ID to log online and see the errors of the Day 4 test.
- Multiple choice result will be emailed on 9th Nov
- Written test result will be marked and handed over between 10 Nov – 16 Nov                  Â

 4 Days – 3 hours each day – ÂŁ120 ( 12 hours)
