11 – Hour Intensive Training

Our aim is to prepare students for the Eleven Plus and Common Entrance exams. We take measures to ensure 11 plus skills are refined to the best possible extent, well ahead of the exam.

DAY 1:  

 TEACHING

Maths

  • Nth Term: Calculation of Nth Term.  Solve real life problems. 

GL-VR

  • Codes

  • Move a letter

  • Number Series

NVR

  • Concept Explanation and practice – Similarity

English Comprehension

  • Teaching to explore characters and feelings  

  • Learning to interpret phrases 

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 2:  

TEACHING

Maths

  • Extended teaching: The arithmetic rules of Fractions and Percentage – Applying rules to word problems

GL-VR

  • Insert a letter

  • Alphabet Analogy

  • Reading Information

NVR

  • Concept Explanation and practice – Matrices

English Comprehension

  • Teaching to explore poetry

  • Literary Devices

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 3: 

TEACHING

Maths

  • Extended teaching: Arithmetic rules of Decimals, Area & Perimeter – Applying rules to word problems

GL- VR

  • Related Numbers

  • Three letter word missing.

  • Coded Maths

NVR

  • Concept Explanation and practice – Series

English Comprehension

  • Interpreting Advertisements  

  • Literary Devices

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 4: 

TESTING

Maths

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

GL-VR

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

NVR

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

English Comprehension

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

TEST : The test will comprise of  multiple choice and a standard type test.

RESULTS
Day 4 – is the test day.  Results will be available online for the multiple-choice test.
Each child will be assigned a password and ID to log online and see the errors of the Day 4 test. Result will be available approximately 10 working days (excludes weekends) after the completion of the test. The scores will highlight the areas your child will need to start focussing on, whilst reaffirming the areas of strength.

The standard type test will be marked and handed over to the child.

Booking:  Choose one of the following:
a) Course 1 – Maths, English, VR & NVR – £ 130

Training: Tue- Thu: 2 hours 45 minutes    Testing: Fri: 2 hours 45 minutes

b) Course 2 – Maths & English – £110

Training: Tue- Thu  2  hours     Testing: Fri: 2 hrs

Venue :   Anglia Ruskin University , Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1SQ. Please assemble at Lord Ashcrofts building reception.

  1. Prebook the training by making an advance payment of £20.  Upon your booking confirmation  will be emailed to you , if you dont receive the confirmation in 30 minutes , please email e-learning@masterbrainacademy.co.uk. Please bring the confirmation email to the Training.
  2. The balance can be sent on the first day of course.
