Syllabus Extension Programme -Chelmsford

10 – Hour Intensive Training

Our aim is to prepare students for the Eleven Plus and Common Entrance exams. We take measures to ensure 11 plus skills are refined to the best possible extent, well ahead of the exam.

WE OFFER TRAINING FOR :  

The concept training is suitable for CSSE Schools, Chelmsford, QE, Henrietta, Woodford, Ilford, Kent and Bexley.

OUR TEACHING STRUCTURE

DAY 1:  

 TEACHING

Maths

  • Statistics: Data Interpretation: Types of Graphs   

Applied Reasoning

  • A short review of Reasoning skills suitable for CSSE

English Comprehension

  • Short scripts – Non-Fiction – Multiple Choice – Evaluation of right answers.

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 2:  

TEACHING

Maths

  • Time: Speed, Application to real life problems, Reading Train Timetable; Working out Travel Time

Applied Reasoning

  • A short review of Reasoning skills suitable for CSSE

English Comprehension

  • Inferential Comprehension – Written Style

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 3: 

TEACHING

Maths

  • Transformation, Tessellation & Symmetry

Applied Reasoning

  • A short review of Reasoning skills suitable for CSSE

English Comprehension

  • Classic – Interpret and discuss – Written & Multiple choice

Vocabulary

  • Test

DAY 4: 

TESTING

Maths

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

Applied Reasoning

  • Reasoning Skills suitable for CSSE

English Comprehension

  • Test based on Day 1 – 3

TEST: The test will comprise of multiple choice and a standard type test. 

RESULTS

Day 4 – is the test day.  Results will be available online for the multiple-choice test.

Each child will be assigned a password and ID to log online and see the errors of the Day 4 test. Result will be available approximately 10 working days (excludes weekends) after the completion of the test. The scores will highlight the areas your child will need to start focussing on, whilst reaffirming the areas of strength.

The standard type test will be marked and handed over to the child.

Training: Mon- Wed  Testing: Thursday

Venue :   Anglia Ruskin University , Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1SQ. Please assemble at Lord Ashcrofts building reception.
   Date    :   1 April– 4 April (Sat- Tue)

NEXT STEPS 

  1. Prebook the training by making an advance payment of £20.  Upon your booking confirmation  will be emailed to you , if you dont receive the confirmation in 30 minutes , please email e-learning@masterbrainacademy.co.uk. Please bring the confirmation email to the Training.
  2. The balance can be sent on the first day of course.
