ImagineInk – Creative Writing Course 

Creative Writing is an integral part of the 11+ exam process, as it allows students to demonstrate their ability to think critically and express themselves clearly and creatively.

This is important not only for the admissions process but also for academic and personal success in the long run.

Objectives

  1. to train your child’s imagination and originality to craft a piece of writing. 
  2. to go beyond just conveying information
  3. to use language to paint a picture, evoke emotions, and create a sense of place or character.

Types of writing 

  • Descriptive
  • Picture prompt

This course is suitable for children who intend to be taking the CSSE  11 plus exam (King Edwards, Westcliffe, Southend, Colchester); Chelmsford County High and Henrietta Barnet.

Children will be given homework and writing assessments will be conducted as part of the course.  There are 7 sessions (1.15  hours )
